It's important to look back at where you've been and what you've achieved, and then build on that as you're moving forward to new goals and adventures in your life.
In the award-winning book Dream by Susan V. Bosak, each stage of life is associated with a different color. What color of life (i.e. stage of life) are you in? What's behind you (e.g. being a baby, a toddler)? What did you learn in those past stages of life (e.g. how to crawl, walk, talk)? What stages of life are in front of you? What do you think you'll learn?
Janus is the ancient god of beginnings and endings, as he looks both to the past and to the future. As an end-of-school-year activity, make two lists on a blank sheet of paper – "What I've Achieved" (looking back on the school year) and "What I Want to Achieve" (looking forward to the summer and following school year).
For "What I've Achieved," you might include:

It was funny when...
I improved most in...
I loved reading...
I will always remember...
Goals I accomplished this year were...
